Club activities consist of monthly “fun runs” (emphasis on FUN!) between the months of April to August. These are non-competitive (no pressure) field trials where you can put your pointing dog to work finding birds during the hunting “off-season.” PVPDC members who field trial can also use these trials to polish their dogs or introduce their young dogs to timed “braces” where the goal is to find and point birds.
 
These runs are also used by new(er) club members as a testing ground to determine if they want to pursue competitive field trialing. Many PVPDC members use these fun runs as a steppingstone to more competitive field trial opportunities. The PVPDC supports and encourages its members in those endeavors. The cost of participating in these fun runs is $50.
